Anyone been fishin' the lake down east of GTA? I'm going out this weekend and I'm wondering if any fish are being caught out there recently. Going for salmon and trout. Anyone hear of any good bow or brown action in the water recently?

I will be fishing from Port Darlington all of next week, and I'm getting the boat and all the rigs ready.

Do I need to worry about the fleas this year and deploy the heavier lines or is it not an issue this year?

They have been brutal.  Last time I was out I was bringing up my lines every 20 minutes.  Even the downriggers were covered in them.

Anyone ever found a way to reduce the impact of fleas?

Best way i've found to get them off is using the washdown hose.  and spooling up with Blood Run Sea Flee line.
