Cannon downrigger...what type of grease?

I am overhauling one of my cannon's mag 10's....What type/brand of grease have you used for the worm gear and pulley gear? Also, I see a little grease on the thrust bearing...is it the same as worm gear grease?

With all the cannon downrigger users here...nobody has ever re-greased the gearbox and thrust bearing?

Well I run cannon riggers, and I have a little knowledge about grease as I was in the starter & alternator buisness. We don't use the types of greases that one would to grease a car. We used a light lithium-grease, that is not effected by the temps, cold weather, hot weather, it holds its consistency. This grease can be bought in small tubes at auto parts stores, but not all, maybe west marine? Hope this helps!!!

I use Pentax Ultra Synthetic brake caliper grease.  Way overkill, but I have it on hand.
