Fair Haven 8/3

[bout time]

Went out last night on my buddy's boat. He concentrated on the inside waters 80-140. We marked very few fish and all were on bottom (possibly lakers). And Zero bait. We had 73* on the surface and 42* down 18 - yes 18'. We ran a mix of meat, flies, spoons all throughout the water column. Never moved a rod.

Heard there is some bait and more stable water offshore. Heading there tonight and will post results tomorrow

Bout Time

 

I was up the last two weeks of July. I took 4 kings in 90' of water. Biggest was 26 pounds. Don't be fooled, those are kings on the bottom. If you find bait at a certain depth and its close to being in temp, the kings will be there. Those depths were also loaded with browns!
