I've got some okuma magda line counter reels that the counter is never accurate on.  I've seen it a few times where the first digit rolls over past 9 but the second digit doesn't change although there could be other issues as well.  Are these things repairable or rebuildable?

Send your reels to Tuna Tom, he's the best, many will chime in and agree. I sent my reels to him and they all worked like high end reels, I was very impressed. Just type in Tuna Tom and all the info you need will come up. Best of luck!!!

I don't mind I ended up upgrading my magdas to Coldwater amazing difference. But make sure they are spooled fully. Not sure I didn't know until I read that no line counter is truly accurate if not fully filled with line.

My advice would be to get rid of the Okuma reels......

I'll be accepting donations to do just that (what do you recommend instead?)....until then...can these things be fixed?  Yes the spools are full.  I have a couple that work fine and used them to spool the line backwards and calibrate it using a measured 100' mark then spooled it onto the spools that didn't work.

I run the Daiwa Saltists.  I have been beating them up for 5 seasons and they have not skipped a beat.

The counter needs to be shimmed. Pull counter off. Pull long gear off. Cut a shim out of clear plastic packaging material. Put back together.

Or let Tuna Tom do it.
