Managed to get out for a couple hrs last night with my kids. Beautiful night and saw only one other "troller". Set up in 100' in front of the flats with riggers at 90' and 70' cheated. Wires out 170 with Mt dew spin doc and green mirage fly and 225' with white spin doc and purple mirage. Speed was 2.8-3.2 on the GPS. Trolled out to 150' and 225 wire goes with what appeared to be a steelie which got off while handing rod to my son :evil: 90' rigger with a NBK goes next and daughter Lauren's turn - small king lost it in prop wash - "easy release". Daughter Jenna lands a dink off the 90' NBK which we released. Quiet for awhile and move in to 125' and the 75' rigger goes with a purple/green custom taped spoon and Lauren lands a 6lb king . Soon after, Kevin lands a 8lb king on a green NBK down 80' - just had to outdo his sister! :roll: Next fish is a big king that hits the cheater on a 65' rigger - starts screamin out line and comes up to surface, shakes head, and breaks off Kids-3, Dad-0.....as it should be! Hopefully will get pics thing down and post them later.
