What size motor does it have, I have a 2001 just for towing purposes. Mine sits on a 3/4 ton chassis and I tow a 22ft Sea Ray Fiberglas with a cuddy, but, have you ever towed with it? Mine barely squats, when I hook er' up and tows like it's not even back there till you hit the uphill grinds, price is right!!

One other thing if I were to purchase this vehicle?? The owners cannot be smokers for personal reasons.

They are good towing vehicles (basically an F-150 chassis). I have a 2005 (350 motor) with 115,000 miles on it and I hardly feel my boat behind it despite the 3,200 lbs plus weight. I switched to it because of the wider wheelbase than my previous Eddie Bauer Explorer which when towing was like the tail wagging the dog going down the road

Should really find out the gear ratio.   3.73 would be ideal.   The only down fall is the independent rear suspension.   2002 was the last year for the solid rear axle, which is ideal for towing.   2005 motor should be the 3 valve 5.4.
