1969 mercruiser trim up but not down

It was working fine the other day now it won't trim down. Checked fluids. Tried bleeding lines... No luck... Any ideas?

is there a manual lock like a trailering lock that might have gotten engaged ?

​Had a 85 Mercruiser with same problem .  Replaced  bad  Trim limit switch unit  .

There is a switch with a valve. This is what we figured out in the last hour... If it goes all the way up it gets stuck up, gotta crack a line and then tighten it back down and it will work. But get to far up and it locks. Maybe the switch and valve are causing it to stick?

could be a solenoid. had that happen to my 1993 merc. . try jumping the 2 leads to see if that powers it down.
