Trolling bar set up?

I mocked this set up on my 18.5 tracker Targa and was wondering if it will work good this way or do I need to change it? . Plan is to run dipsy's on the out side and run two riggers with stacked rods for now till I get more money.

Is it possible to move the dipsy rod holder into the track? I would locate them in the track and back towards the bow 2 feet then move the downriggers to the corners to seperate them some.

It can be very hard to remove a dipsy rod from that position with a big fish on. I would move them up the side a couple feet.

My plan is to move them there with a cannon or Bert's racheting holder as soon as I get a little more money . I figure this would work because the boat is pretty wide until then

I think you'll want to move your riggers closer to your gunnels so they are near the mounts. To me your board is going to flex with riggers mounted inboard and that wouldn't be good. You don't want to loose those riggers.

I thought that might be a problem . I can always use my seat mount in the middle to support more if it becomes a problem to

My concern also would be with a dipsy and rigger pulling from each side may break that board..don't underestimate the torque there

I bought brackets that clamp to the side of boat. Then I bought 1/4" x 4" aluminum for the trolling bar and a couple feet up each side. I run two riggers on the corner, one dipsy forward of that each side, one rod holder each side forward of that for planer board, and one chute rod holder. I mounted traxtech tracks to the entire top of the trolling bar for moving things around. Probably cost me 3-4 hundred but it's solid, removable, and interchangeable with my big boat.

I like that set up . I be moving my rigger out and adding a track rod holder before I head out on the water. I did the trolling bar because it can come off easy for family boating to.

Eagle feet I believe it's the name of the brackets I used that clamp to the gunnel. I bought them off eBay. You could mount aluminum or wood to them. Turn a couple screws and the whole bar slides right of the boat. Their slick.

Looks better to me. You are going to want to move to a ratcheting rod holder for that dipsy. Going to be difficult to get that rod out

Little hard to see what you have there.  Is that a rod tree with two fixed holders on it?

Yes. I have long arms and doesn't seem bad getting to the dipsy rod .
