Thinking of buying a copper setup what's a good rod and reel for it and how much should I spool on it this time of year

A good rod is the talora 8 ft lead core rod.

A decent reel for 200 copper is either a Convector cv45 or tekota 700.

If you want 300 to 400 copper you should go with a Convector CV55 or tekota 800.

How many feet of copper would you recommend for fishing right now I was thinking of doing either 350 or 400

Ok so I bought a talora 8ft wireline rod with a pen squall 30reel

I have the Penn squall 30 and it holds 150 yards 50lb power pro and 500' of copper no problem.

I really like the reel it's got fast retrieval and nice loud clicker
