Twill tip

Bought a new dipsy rod and have to put a twill tip on. Looking for the easiest way to remove the tip on the dipsy. Directions say heat up the glue to take it off but I have heard of just cutting it off. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

just heat it up will come right off

i snipped my right off with some wire cutters. worked good
