Anyone have advice on keeping your downrigger lines clear of all this crap as you troll through the Thermocline? Was up all week over the 4th caught mainly Lakers, some over ten pounds.

Thanx. The Remedy(is what I am looking for here?)

You have to move around to find a spot thats less weedy. Thats what I do. The fleas are really bad this year but they are heavy when they first start, then it will level off.

The grass is really a pain, I have to watch from the helm and try to steer around them. Its bad around the 4th as there are lots of boats whippin up the water and sending the grass out in the lake.

for bass. Have never seen the weeds so bad on that lake. Couldn't seem to find any clear areas. Areas that normally don't have much weed cover and produce a lot of bass looked like a kelp forest. Must be all the manure and heat this summer.
