Genesee River???

Anyone ever fish the river? I know absolutely NOTHING about fishing this or any other river. Any advice on where to go (Livingston County Maybe)? What to do for really any species?

well ive only fished at the just north of the dam in mt morris and never really caught anything there...but if you head south of letchworth between portageville and belmont u can catch a bunch of smallmouth and from belmont south into wellsville and down to the state line its a hot spot for brown and rainbow trout.

If you go WAAAY back in the Bass, Pike, & Walleye threads on this site there's info on Walleye in the Avon area. I had inquired myself but never made it out that way. There's a couple folks who say that there are a lot in there but the take I got was use cheap tackle because you'll have to be prepared to lose alot of it because of the gunk on the bottom, rocks, branches, etc.
