There are several ways to run Spin Doctors.

1) Off Rigger - attach spin doc to your line, if your running a fly keep it 18 - 24" behind the spin doc, if you running a spoon 24 - 30" behind. Place the spin doctor 10 - 15" back of the ball and drop you rigger at your chosen depth. I've gone as far back as 20' with good results.

2) Run off dipsy. Run a 4 -6' leader from dipsy to the spin doctor and send the dipsy back to your desired depth.

3) Run straight off lead core or copper back to your desired depth without a dipsy.

Run troll speeds between 2.0 and 3.0.

Good colors are greens, silver, chrome and mount. dew and i am sure some guys have other favorites.

Speaking of spin docs, what are most guys running of 10 colors down the chute? most of the guys I talked with said spoons and leave the spin docs for riggers and wire. What are you guys running.
