Wondering if anyone knows how the Salmon fishing is around Cobourg Creek? Thinking of doing some river fishing this weekend.

The salmon in the creek rely a lot on rain. No rain, the fish can't run up the creek. The creek mouth is so small, it need a lot of rain to raise the water level and therefore the fish can run up, for now they are still at the beach.

Thanks for the heads-up, Quikfish. Now I know what to bring for gear on the weekend.

Those places are tricky to fish, have to time it just right, unlike the bigger tribs that have large river mouths like Port Hope an Bville. What I suggest you do if you really want to fish it, grab a pair of breathable waders and wade out as far as you can without drowning, and cast glow spoons out in the lake. You will get into some if the winds don't come off the lake, then you have rollers and you will get wet. If you get winds from the north or calm winds, you will get them. GL pal, hope you get into a few.
