Anyone have any luck jigging Lakers this time of year near the Bar. Planning to take a swipe at the Kings in the lower river and would like to have a backup plan if this warm up holds on.I can also throw some trolling gear from the Islander into the little boat but was hoping for something different.

Lake Trout Season ended on Sept 30.  It opens again January 1st.

As much as I would appreciate you knocking a few out, I would hate to see you get pinched..  Browns are an option.  The shore line their can be productive.

Yeah, we've had good catches on the browns by turning at the Fort and trolling the American side shoreline.

You put a jig down you may catch anything.....including out-of-season Lakers.  It just means you can't keep them.

Cant target them. I'd rather catch a steelhead. No way can you do anything to not catch them and still catch steelhead. I don't try to touch them unless I have to or its huge and I want a pic. They are just to fragile.....and slimey. Usually unhook them and dump them back. Touch there gills and they are dead and your boat is covered in blood.
