Mercury 9.9 hp four stroke motor. Motor is a 2001 model short shaft. I purchased this motor used in 2002 and had it on a duck boat. It was used less than 5 hours a year. The motor was professionally winterized every season and this spring it had a complete tune up just to be on the safe side. Not needed but was for peace of mind. I always kept the unit inside a heated garage over winter months. This is a great unit and my only reason for selling it is i want a long shaft that can fit as a kicker for my 23 foot boat. I ran it on the lake this past weekend to ensure everything was fine. (Water puddle under lower unit in picture). This motor started w/ no more than two pulls every time. It includes the plastic 5 gallon can to hook up to the motor.
