I'm looking to upgrade my Fishfinder and am checking out the 8" Onix units.

Anyone out there using one that could give me some insight?  Always hesitant

to lay out the $ they ask for high end electronics these days.

There are smoking deals on them right now. We've been running them for a few seasons. Great units, but make sure you register your unit and download the latest software. These FF's are mini computers. There are a lot of videos on YouTube to help you navigate them. If you buy one and need help just PM me.

 

If you want a very good unit that's easier to navigate (in my opinion) look into the Humminbird HELIX series. A LOT of guys that I've turned onto this series LOVE them. They are packed with everything you need for trolling at amazing prices.

Love my helix 9 di/gps. Not as good at marking on plane as my chirp 7 but thats about the only negative for me
