Chatter sticks for salmon

Has anyone tried running or had success running chatter sticks for salmon. We use chatter stick regularly on Erie eyes and I would think they would be a great spring coho bait on a short core.

Yes I have run the small sized ones in spring along shore and the coho liked them.

Tried them in the spring a few years back with no luck.
