All it takes is a gas pocket or something or unseen spring ....wait for safe ice.

Pic of Braddocks this a.m . Didn't have auger on me to punch holes to check . Maybe later. Would be nice if the town could make 1 more pass with the plow so there is room to park by boat launch.

Pretty crazy being out there without others around just for starters.  It also is a fact that snow is an "insulator" and that ice can't be all that thick yet. Might want to keep an eye out for the rescue copter

Did a walk in the woods and on my way back home , he's now in between the two open spots from yesterday. Dudes nuts !!!! Also 2 guys running flags along shore from truck . If he walks straight to shore he's in no question

Was out on Long Pond. About 2½-3 inches of ice. Not a hit to be had. Was 4 other guys out there. Got a nice invite off Ice Shanty for a sloppy Joe Deer Burger and a beer but didn't see it till I was off the ice.
