Torpedo weighted steel

anyone else using this? Trying to figure out what size reel I need to buy to get 300 feet of weighted Steel on with about 500 feet of wire line backing.already tried my Okuma 55 and it's not happening. looking at tekota 600 but just wondering if anybody can tell me for sure. Thanks
