This has been going on for at least 30 years. But we can do something about it by not buying Japanese products like toyotas and e-mailing the company that you will boycot their products as long as Japan keeps on raping the world's fish stocks.

The same is true of whale and things like sea turtle and "bush meat" aka monkey in other places. The problem is...they're so delicious :rofl:. Not that I would ever partake :thinking:.

After the dock. maintenance, repairs, gas, tackle, storage, insurance and beer, that's what I pay a pound for salmon.

Even legally taken salmon could be sold on the markets. The USA imports four billion to three trillion dollars of seafood annually depending on the information sources. There are tremendous markets here and legal controls are overwhelmed.
