Olcott harbor was frozen yesterday and icebergs about 100 yds out all along the shoreline of the lake

No not ready to fish yet.   I should have said ....."getting rods rigged for March".  Keep us updated on harbor ice

I just took my boy down to see if any trout or perch were hanging out in the harbor. The dam is too crazy on the weekends for me. There was only a few spots to cast in front of the launch that werent frozen. I will post a report when i get out. Not planning anything until March though, boat is still under tarps.

Saw 4 Turkey Buzzards picking on a Deer carcass the other day.

Long tail blackbirds in tree and 42 degrees at 6:45am. Birds singing like a spring day. 6-12" coming tomorrow morning. Lol. Yep its gonna be awhile yet .

Been watching the jet stream hitting high into Washington State all week (poor Stan).  Warm weather on way.  Emerald Shiners have showed in the Upper Niagara and reportedly are already entering Lake Erie tribs.  Reports of suckers being caught in creeks!!  If you have not started on your spring gear yet.....better get crackin'

Monster flock of swans off Wilson this week- lots of robins around. SW wind today took what little ice was floating out deep. Saw some guys fishing off the pier. Back harbor was ice coated yesterday-
