FORT NIAGARA LAUNCH STATUS?

Does anyone know if the launches at Fort Niagara are up and running?  I would sure like to get out to the green can and see if those Lakers are hungry.

  Not to steal your thread but I was wondering if any launches in the area are useable?  Wilson, Olcott, at the Fort, or even Oak orchard??  Any one know?  Thanks!

I work at Fort Niagara and the the launch is not ready yet. I'll check on Monday see maybe when.

Yes, down below town at yacht club.  Park up top across from exit in town (slight left then right out of exit).

When you use the Youngstown launch and park up top, do you have to walk back on the road or is there a cut through or stairs back down?

There are stairs that you can cut down to the launch.  I found them after I walked all the way around and down the first time I was there.

I started to use the stairway only to discover that there is a gate that is chained and locked 20' from the bottom.

It looked like only the north part was open, I don't think the repairs are done yet
