Use Weighted Steel, so when you get tangled, you aren't holding $30 worth of garbage. With the steel you can untangle and it will still be golden. Don't ask me how I know.

If your otters are not pulling out with a single keel, your knot is in the wrong location on the tow tope. May want to find the thread on this site that gives perfect lengths from front of otter to knot and back of otter to know. It's not a matching number, too far back will result in no resistance as well as too far forward. There's a sweet spot. Maybe crazy yankee will correct me.

When running copper on boards , do you run them on the outside if so how do you reset with the dispy out , is it the same as walleye fishing, let free spool out the back till you feel it will clear the dispy , on a #2 setting 200back how far to the Side of the boat is the dispy?
