Any ice at the launch ? Thinking of a trip soon since ice fishing is done.

I took a drive down last night. Launch is iced in but if you have a small boat you could possibly get in under bridge street bridge. Saw a drift boat being taken out there last night.

Hope this "warmer" weather and rain open it up for next weekend.

The drift boat launch has a big log and pile of ice on it. Launching today I backed over it all, pulling out, I dragged the boat over it. I wouldn't want to launch much more than a drift boat there right now.

FYI - the launch is wide open.

I fished today and we were the only trailer in the lot.

Ended up going 12/15 on browns.

Any sign of the city putting the docks out?

No sign yesterday. I imagine that it will be at least a week before the docks go in.

There is a good amount of room to get around the docks though. Seems like more space between the docks and the curb than normal.

I'd still like to launch on the lower docks. Any sign of the city starting to put the docks out ?

The main dock by the launch is always in. I heard they started putting docks in for slips. I'll drive by there tomorrow.

Thanks, I launch alone and the perm dock is tougher for me to launch from.

Happened to take a drive there 2 hours ago, main dock is there but the other launch docks are still sitting

on land. No sign of movement, the Shack is still all closed up to, no web cams working yet, the city said 2 weeks ago they would be up and running very soon, only doing Maintenance on them. Well that's been going on since last August.

 

To nasty to get out there right now.

Any update this week ? Still waiting for the smaller docks .

I was there 3 hours ago,Main docks are in,the boat launch one short one in the rest still out,shack is still closed up.No web cams to see anything yet. Suppose to be on,if any one is concerned about what the lake is doing before they get there I suggest calling the Mayors office in Oswego or your local Alderman.Waves tonight where around 1-2 feet,they were hitting the breakwall. Fridays weather is looking ok. Rain is in the forecast for the weekend and possible storms.

Thanks for the update. It wasn't that long ago that they were in by April 1st.Guess fishermen don't matter much to the City anymore.

With the weather they had,they certainly could have put them in earlier,I heard they have to schedule the workers time to do the docks job,move them from a winter position to a summer one.

There's no reason to be discouraged from launching at Wright's. Smaller boats have been for a couple weeks and we put my 28' in Saturday. You don't need the center dock to get in the water...

 

The marina doesn't officially open until May 1st. Right now you get what you are getting charged for, nothing for nothing.

One of the fingers in the launch is in place.

 

Double J, no the ramp isn't in place, utilities aren't hooked up yet. I'll keep you updated.
