Mike,

My problem is Les keeps trying to eat those shrimp right out of the perch's mouth. Thats not as bad as him throwing the perch back in the lake after he's gotten all their shrimp.

I tie flies that are scud imitations. Look them up. When u figure out how to fish them at 30 feet and detect bites, dynamite!

Well I look forward to it. Going to order some. Are they naturally pink? They look blue in the pictures and the live ones I have seen attached to rocks. Maybe the sun and my truck made a mini dinner?

I tie in natural brown gray green hues and fish pink in stained or otherwise off conditions. Maybe a flyrod with a sink tip line and a string of scud flies is what the perch haven't seen yet. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Natural color varies with water chemistry but is olive to grey, like most crustaceans they turn pink to orange when dead.
