I see the engine is a Mercruiser. I thought 87 through 89 Bayliners were using OMC? Is the outdrive OMC or Mercruiser?

Looking at the pics it's a Mercruiser.

The gentlemen I bought from was a service manager at a marina in Burlington on Lake Champlain.  He bought it with something different then the merc. But they didn't winterize it right and cracked the block. So he bought a boat that hit some rock's or ledges with the mercruiser motor and out drive. He told me it only had 60 hours on the merc. Then he had to redo the transom so merc out drive would work. The did a very nice job on that and also rewired everything.

Yeah now that makes more sense. They were using OMC from 87-89 boats and switched to mercruiser in 1990. I believe merc bought them at the time? Anyway, making the change to mercruiser was the best thing he ever did. Lol.

Nice looking boat, priority!

For any potential buyers out there, these boats fish real nice, and they trailer easily with a 1/2 ton truck. I have a 1987 21' Trophy similar to the one and we use it for fishing and camping, from Lake Ontario to Cranberry Lake. Three adults can sleep in the cuddy, and my dinette converts to a 4th bed. These are also great boats on the Finger Lakes. My 305 OMC burns about 10 gallons of gas trolling all day on Lake O.

It's a great boat for a family of four, especially if you trailer it to different lakes. Here's mine...
