Need some dipsey help

I just spent two hours looking over the site and need some dipsey help. This is the first year I am running them. Got the wire rods, but need to get the divers. I paln on fishing late August and Sept on the east end of the lake. Found that size 1 is the size I need, but what are the best colors to start off with?

Honestly any color will work it really doesn't matter .......... as long as you paint it black.

Seriously though, dark as possible down deep. Up in the water column I've had good success on steelies & coho with orange & green.

Not the great expert on this but I would have thought you would want the Magnum size dipsy( comes with the ring). This will reach deeper with the wire than a #1.
