older GL vs Newer accudepth ?  GL 47 serviced, but accudepth is newer , thoughts.

Newer doesn't mean better IMO I would go with GL's as long as there in good shape... Good luck

I have a bunch of GLs I use every year, I don't fish a lot but the newest of them is 25 years old.  Parts still available and they can be fixed.

Believe I saw that Daiwa was no longer making parts for the GL reels about a year ago so parts were limited to stock on hand.   Lots of those reels around but could be harder to find parts as time goes on.

i have both in my spread I love my great lakes models they are hand me downs from my dad and are what i grew up using in the 80s and 90s  the accudepths are not bad but the older GL models are better built.
