Spring bullheads

I was not sure where to post this but.... I was wondering about some good places to fish for bullheads.The same ol thing every year,a couple in this pond,a couple in that place,no real numbers anymore.Looking to get after them this year,thanks

Not sure where you live but last year i was at southend of Conesus lake where the walleyes and pike run....and at the bubbler it was just black with good sized bullheads...was a man and his wife and they had a 5 gallon pail full without water...catching them as fast as they could get them off

When you walk out across the bridge before the dike to swamp...theres a tube i think it comes swamp to creek and bubbles...it was loaded there just after the walleye finished up

Where you coming from?  There are places all over the state that are good for bullhead.  Ask for a good location near you and I am sure that some people could PM you.

 

Also - noteworthy.  The Conesus inlet is closed to all fishing until 1st Saturday in May.  The Canal portion is open and should be a good place to fish for bullheads when the temps start to rise again.  The down side to bullhead fishing the inlet is the enormous amount of dinky sunfish that are in there too.

 south end of Cayuga has big bullheads as well... Sometimes in big numbers too... bob

You can fish the Southend now...Regulations changed.i live 1mile from there and have been fishing this time of year for a few yours now.

You can't fish up where the pike and walleye run at the park untill may 1 though.
