1st trimmer to Oswego

Planning on fishing Oswego Monday morning. Any good reports of browns in the area? Should I head west or east towards the nuke plant? Any help would be great... hope everyone is catching fish!

I would go another 30 miles west and hit Sodus....better numbers there for sure.

Come on Bob...there's plenty of browns in Oswego. Its just nobody is in the water yet. Some small boats have been fishing and doing good. As far as big boats, Fish Doctor is the only one in, I'm putting in tomorrow or Sat, and a couple  others are going in next week. 

 

Oswego just doesn't have marinas that draw a lot of business and/or need to start launching boats to get them out of the way.

LOL Andy - no you are right - ive got the itch and still have to wait another couple weeks...there are plenty of fish in Oswego.

Fished Oswego Sunday. A few boats out. Talked to people pulling out about 3pm. Some had one or two like me, some had none. River is complete mud with lots of debris. Complete muddy water from the river about 2 miles east. Started to clear at that point. Fished 5 hours got a 4 lb and a w lb. Tried by the Salmon river on Monday. Lots of ice chunks made it difficult. 1 small brown for 3 hours.
