Better fishing? Oswego or Mexico

Just getting ready for my trip out this weekend. It is my first trip out to lake O for browns. In your opinion is Oswego better than Mexico or visa versa? Mexico is 30 minutes closest for me. It seems on here everybody is talking about Oswego and not Mexico. I am only running a 16 ft deep v so I am not going to want to travel to far. Thanks guys in advance

we are heading to mexico monday for a week have friends there now max out all weekend  so thats good news they say anything green was working

Buddy of mine said the same. Anything green he said also. That's what has me leaning towards Oswego.

Stay close to shore 10 ft. under and stay away from traffic and check the mud line or change of color don't be afraid to fish in brownish water.

Just booked a place at catfish creek. Kind of in the middle. Hopefully it is decent.

Mexico or Oswego? Are there any updates on this question for the weekend? First trip for my son and I this weekend on Lake O.

We trolled from oz west to nuke plant and didn't hit a fish until the end when we landed a whitefish. So about 10:00 we headed out to 110-120 fow and dropped down for Lakers. Went 7 for 13 in 2 hours with 2 11# fish. All the rest were 25-30" fish. Not bad salvaged the day ran in before the rain came

We stayed in 12' to 20' between Oswego Light and the plant. One 5lb brown in 5 hours. Not too good!

Fished Tuesday evening from Mex Pt to 9 Mile and back in shallow 5' to 25' - nothing. But is was a lovely evening!

Inside Oswego Harbor is where a lot of Charter Boats run early in the AM.
