Browns on Lake Erie

With all the stocking of browns their has to be some nice ones in the lake. Does anyone troll Erie now for browns?

You can catch them right now along the the same reefs you catch walleyes on. Put out a mix of short leadcores with spoons and you will catch some. They are gorgeous looking fish

I have specifically targeted them this time of year and yes just like Ontario but the Lake Erie structure makes it a bit tougher to navigate. The smallmouth make it fun to. The first week of May you can catch Walleye, bass, lakers and browns all together.

When I was younger ( 90's) we fished Dunkirk Harbor staring in March and we killed them. Almost always had the harbor to ourself. Some pretty shallow spots to watch for. We worked the wall back and forth. We would get the occasional coho also.
