Owasco and Skeneateles advice

So I took last Thursday off to fish Ontario. I rolled into Mexico point nice and early and immediately decided that it would be suicide in my 18ft Tracker. I ended up at Skeneateles and trolled around for hours and got one laker. Not a bad back up plan but I would like to be better prepared next time. Would appreciate any feedback on these two lakes.

I will mention I trolled a mix of stinger spoons and challenger stick baits behind inline boards 120ft back. Around 14 feet of water at about 1.8mph. How far off track was I?

We did the same thing on 4/8, but didn't even get the one laker!

Skan was tough for us last Friday(4/14/17).  One hit, but a good one.  We graphed very few fish.  Not sure where the fish were, but things will pick up.  2.4 has been a good average speed for us.

I wouldnt stop at Skaneateles unless you were there for the scenery.  Owasco will have a great Surface Laker bite till June.  Good size fish too.  I recommend a black and silver jointed rapala flat lined or on a board for Owasco.
