downrigger line retrievers

i know i can buy some for about 15 bucks a pop but seems a little steep or if ya got some ideas for a rigged up retriever let me know.

Just buy some cheap pulleys at the hardware store and tie some parachute cord to the eye, run your downrigger cable through the pulley. Most you can run termination and all right through. I run these on all 4 of mine and they work slick

Salmonite I used a cheap dog lease my wife picked up at the dollar store with the pulley maybe had $3.00 to $4.00 invested for the set-up....It worked the nuts.......Woody.
