Oswego Conditions

Planning trip to Wrights on Friday , hearing horror stories about historic flooding and dangerous lake conditions with floating debris.

any info on the above would be appreciated.

Thanks

Its very fishable on the lake and fishing is good.

IT IS A MINEFIELD! Its Spring, there is always stuff drifting around. The high water has added to it but its no reason to not fish. There is an Idle Speed/No Wake rule in effect in the harbor and within 500' of shore.

If you run on plane, especially in the dark or low light, you are asking for trouble.

Good luck wherever you fish this weekend.

Fishing has been fantastic! Don't be afraid. Just take your time and you'll be fine!

There's plenty of water to launch... You will need to walk in the water to get on the docks. The dock next to the bath house that Top Gun is on had water about ankle deep the other day before the ramp to the floating section. The water has come up a little since then. To use the middle docks of the launch you will need knee boots.

Launched at Wrights today, they are building additions to the docks that span the submerged sections so you can get to the floating docks. Lake was pretty clean despite the high water. We fished from 10:30 to 4:30 until the wind became to much, went 2 for 3 all browns, 10 FOW green spoons.

The first dock is still open to launch. The water has risen to about 6" over part of the original bridge they put in so now there's a 2x6 to get you over that water without boots.

I launched there alone yesterday without issue. The fishing was not good for me but the lunching was fine.
