Owasco Lake Emerson Launch status?

How is the boat launch repair work and water level at the North end launch? Is it open and manageable?

Stillwater,

I haven't been there in a couple of weeks.

When I was there, one side of the launch was open. Obviously the water was high, and the parking lot was pretty muddy due to the heavy equipment, but I was able to launch.
I was told they hope to have the project completed by Memorial Day.

Launched out of there Saturday afternoon. Lots of mud but still useable they leave one side open

Thanks guys. I may trailer over and fish later this week but wanted to confirm it is operational first.

With the water this high,it is probably a good idea to use the south end launch. For once, you will not get stuck in the mud and the weeds.

Good idea, I usually motor down there in the summer for bait / gas when we are renting.

It will save the extra drive time if the north end is usable.

The water is still on the rise too. Probably went up 2-3 inches from Friday to Sunday alone. This laker didn't seem to mind though.
