River Fishing

Heading up to the River to chase the northerns around...anybody have any updates on the river conditions and or bite?  Will be in the Alexandria area east through the islands

I saw a video last week showing water above the docks/walkway at Boldt Castle. My wife's family was up at their camp on Saturday and said the water was the highest they've ever seen it (I'd estimate ~6'-8' high based on their description).

I'd call the TI Baitshop before heading out to see if they can confirm. Good luck and be safe out there!

One thing to be concerned about is  rocks,  humps and submerged islands if not in the main channels.  Idle speed would be recommended.

Perspective is different with high water. Submerged docks can be an issue as can floating debris.

3 days....2 of these and enough northerns to keep us busy all day.  Every year seems like a different river.
