What is a good alternative

Heading to Oswego to fish Ontario but the winds don't look to favorable. What lake near there would you reccomend as an alternative, would troll for salmon or fish bass or walleye. Not much for pan fish.

Any recommendations?

Hopefully within an hour of Oswego.

I always trailered the boat to Seneca when the Big O got too BIG. I launched out of Oswego in a 19 foot Alumacraft. It's about an hour to Seneca. Put in at the North end (Geneva) and run south past the shelf. The shelf is fairly flat and gradual down to about 50 feet and then you will notice a sharp drop off. This is where you'll start thinking about lakers. Good lake trout fishing. Can also go up the canal on the NE end and fish for pike and bass. Geneva has a great boat launch.
