Cayuta Lake (Little Lake, Odessa, NY)

8 June all day fishing out on Little Lake 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We started out casting 1/8th ounce jigs using natural minnow imitations.  Our day started out relatively slow but marked a bunch of bait and fish on the bottom in 14' to 22'.  Couldn't get any takers, so decided to go shallow >6' and ended up finding the Crappie bite.  Between the two of use we caught roughly 150 Crappie all day from 4" to 12", most being roughly 8" to 9".  Also boated two > 15" bass and one 21" Walleye.

Overall a nice day on the (Little) lake.

Nice. I enjoy taking my kayak there on decent days over the summer. I imagine the waters warming up nicely.

Nice report!  Funny how this lake fishes.  I don't have much of any luck on the hard water but can be a great place to spend a day with the kids in the late spring / early summer.

Panfishing has been good there, but man the pressure this little lake gets is enormous..  I only fish weekdays, and every time I have gone there, there are  boats covering the lake, all of them fishing!.. i would hate to see what it looks like on a saturday or sunday.... bob

Sometimes weekends it's hard to park a boat trailer. And not to mention allot of people target this lake with Car top boats. If you think it's bad now wait a week or 2 when it's full of guys fishing because bass season will be open plus pleasure boaters
