State Senator Robert Ortt to Speak

United Shoreline will hold a rally Friday, July 14th at 7 p.m. at Oak Orchard Marine Park, 1110 Point Breeze Rd, Kendall and will be addressed by State Senator Robert Ortt who will discuss the recent $55 million relief bill and how it will impact the average property homeowner and business owners.

Also featured will be State Assemblyman Stephen Hawley, an advocate for the flood ravaged lakefront owners, and Orleans County Director of Emergency Management Dale Banker, who will speak about the recent Homeland Security shoreline damage assessments and how that data will be used.

Pathstone Director Susan Boss will be on hand to field questions on the grant application process and will have hard copies of the applications to distribute.

The Governor's Office Mobile Command Center will be on site during the meeting for DEC permits and insurance claim assistance.

United Shoreline is a grassroots community based organization of property owners on Lake Ontario who have suffered devastation from the rising waters caused by IJC Plan 2014. Members hail from four counties, and the organization plans to take its rallies on the road to help stand up for those under represented and include as many communities as possible in ONE LOUD VOICE.

UNITED SHORELINE is a grassroots community based group formed when 5 disgruntled homeowners met in a Kendall garage and decided to take action instead of complaining about the devastation caused by the mismanaged Plan 2014.

Two days later, nearly 120 attendees joined together in what the group hopes will be one loud voice. Nearly 250 attendees joined in the roar the following week. Plans include holding Rallies across four counties to span from Youngstown to Oswego.

If you or someone you know has been affected by the waves of destruction from Plan 2014, please join us! We welcome all lakefront property owners, boaters, fishermen, businesses owners, government officials, and anyone affected by the rising Lake Ontario waters and the destruction it has caused. Meetings will include information on how to move forward to find solutions, speakers, and committee updates. Future meetings will move to various locations along the shore to include property owners from all communities to unite our cause in one loud voice!

IF you want to really go after the responsible party for this year, you should have the rally in a church.  Water levels were right where they were last year until the rains in March and April.
