Well it is possible your fish hawk is out of calibration, or maybe a cold mass of water was upwelling right there where you were. But definitely, too many reports from Olcott and elsewhere of 68 to ,70 on the surface. So, the lake id apparently not turned yet, and from what I read it is all bad when it does.

My fish hawk is fine we had 40 knot west wind that pushed that cold water out faster than I've ever seen was definitely not upwelling 24 hrs is the fast I've seen set back up u couldn't see 10 ft for the fog it was 40s top to bottom no upwelling it flipped had to go to 300 to get out the fog

The lake had DEFINITELY flipped.  46 degrees on the surface EVERYWHERE inside 300 fow.  The lake has just recovered quickly.

very interesting. Thanks for all the commentary, it helps me to understand whats happening with the temps. still a lot to learn for sure.

I went out of Braddock's tonight with my daughter and nephew. Still cold inside, however 70 on surface, and the cold water was a little deeper than Thursday night.
Lots of bait in 90-100 feet and pulled Lakers on the bottom 100-110. Skippy King in 140 down 70 feetIMG951206.jpg IMG951219.jpg
