Infection? Not sure if the area you referring to is just bloody or the yellow area? Lots of dead fish still floating today on Seneca, 20+lb carp out there today we saw..

We saw a lot of dead sawbellies. No dead fish.

That's a lamprey wound.

The dead carp. Are due to the disrespectful bow hunter enthusiasts who shoot them. Take a photo and let them float. Flip em over, bet you find a arrow hole. Drives me nuts.
