Hey I have a raymarine st2000 autopilot I'm taking off the boat... only cause I'm selling the boat to my neighbor at camp and for some odd reason he doesn't want it. Thing works great, was originally made to steer a sailboat. There is a thread in "this old boat" about this thing working quite well on smaller boats. I had this on a 21ft aluminum boat. and I assure you it does work well, also comes with a weather proof cover and a wired remote for the helm.

Think it would have to be tied to a kicker only. Not really sure about moving an I/o lower unit. Located in sackets harbor ny

Or main outboard. I used an ez steer system connected to my main, but had to disconnect the main steering cable when I used it, it has about 175lbs or so of torque

so if I bought this what else do I need to make it work on my outboard?

Going another direction. Will that thing steer an IO ? Just bought a 2452 classic.
