Adding more wire to wire?

How do you add to more wire, i need more on my okuma reel, have alot left over from original spool, would hate to throw it away. Mini swival? Section of 30lb mono in between?what knots to use?

Throw it away. If you really must save it reel it on to the same size reel then back with mono till its full and spool it mono first on to the original reel. Use an albright knot to connect wire to the mono.
