Lost a Sutton 44 on Cayuga today

Went out about 12:30 today and fished the west side starting by Burroughs Creek heading south. About 10 minutes in I hook a very big laker get him up to the boat and as I put the net behind him he breaks off the line and disappears with an old hammered Sutton 44.

I have caught many lakers with these spoons closest thing to them i have found is an evil eye about the same size. So be on the look out for a 10 lb laker with a Sutton in his mouth.

Sutton started making the 44's again earlier this year.  I've read varying reviews about he quality of the plating, but you may be able to replace the lost one without spending a fortune on ebay.

I just bought some new Sutton in Naples few weeks back they seem ok...but I've never had a old one to compare really

The plating sucks on the ones I bought last year from sutton.
