Dean and I hit the lake this morning early. The last few trips we were all over the bait but the fish didn't seem to wanna cooperate. So we made a run north. Glad we did. We immediately got into hungry fish. Dean reeled in the first and largest brown and did a great job. We picked away at a few more browns and then it went quiet. After two miles north of nothing we ran back to were the bite stopped and ran into a 9lb 4oz 30inch Rainbow. It's a new personal best and I couldn't have done it without my net man Dean Belden.IMG_1684.JPGIMG_1681.JPGIMG_1688.JPGIMG_1676.JPG

Congrats!  Beautiful awesome rainbow and browns too.  Amazing, it was on this exact date last year that I caught my personal best rainbow too, 29.5" 9lb 8oz.  They must always be hungry the last few days of August!

Hi I'm interested in fishing Cayuga, do use the same lures as Ontario but smaller, meaning like flashers and dipsey ? I fish Lake Champlain and use smaller lures like mooselucks, thanks in advance. Any advice would be appreciated.

200' copper was on fire today. Fish were just hungry. Nothing special just a MS Green glo alwife with half the paint missing.

love your boat.  I have the Fishmaster 2100 and love it.  Garmin TR1 gold autopilot is by far my most productive fishing tool.  Great fish by the way.  Hope to see you out there on Monday.

Where do you launch?
