Back at it this morning after a very long break from hunting. From here on out I should be in the woods every day until the season ends. Zero action this morning but I heard 29 gunshots before 830. 15 of those were before 730. Decent weather so I can imagine there is a lot of guys in the woods today.
The tracks in the snow tell a heck of a story. We have had snow since Wednesday afternoon and it showed me that there is plenty of deer around. I sure 99% of the movement is during nighttime hours though.

Same here, bunches of tracks but no deer. Looks to be mostly doe. and they're herded up now from what I'm hearing.

I will be on doe patrol this evening! Any trespassing doe that comes from the neighboring property that thinks she can just come to eat then go live somewhere else is in trouble!

Yep same here tracks every where but no deer. I pulled my trail cam cards and 100 plus pics of deer all after dark. Mostly from 10pm till 330am.

You near Buffalo- 10 days in a brine and a good 3 hours of smoke. Got to play with the salt depending on how much you brine-Quick pan fry- Swiss/ rye/mustard-sauerkraut if you like-Good stuff!!

Just as I expected does and fawns showed themselves at dusk. 8 total. A bit late to pull the trigger.
I did a bunch of scouting the past two days and what I have realized is, is I lack great food late season food sources. I have a couple of spots that look promising including tonight's spot. Time to key in on those locations throughout muzzleloader season and hope a big boy shows himself.
