Elite Answer, QAD Ultra rest, pile drivers with Blazers, 100 grain Muzzys are my hunting implements this year but honestly my weapon of choice this year has been reading every book and magazine this off season that I could get my hands on and learning strategies of high vs low impact hunting, better stewardship of my land with creating cover/sanctuary, plans for food plots next year and making myself a better hunter through education.

We'll see if it pays off...........good luck this year and as always thanks for your great hunting thread

Good luck to everyone!! I'm going to pass on the morning to many deer on feed in AM to bump off.  I'll try and sneak out in the afternoon.

I'm planning on an evening sit, too. Still no big boys showing up on the camera...lots of scrubs...and not much movement in the morning .

Elite GT500, QAD Ultra Rest, Montana Black Gold Flashpoint sight, Carbon Express Mayhem shafts and Slick Trick fixed broadheads.

Quick question: has anyone started to see acorns dropping yet? It's hard to time in years where the weather changes so dramatically, but I think that the crop should be bumper.

I had my traditional missed doe broadside at 20 yards on opening day. Always have to get that out of the way.

Lots of deer moving this morning. 14 total including 3 1.5 year old buck. Witnessed an 8pt rub a metal fence post for ten minutes 40 yards from the stand. Felt good to be back in a tree!

First pics of this buck that I have had on camera past couple of years. Last year he was a nine point. Looks like he is now just a great big 8.

Clover and Chicory for dinner tonight! Wasn't going to hunt today but just couldn't resist climbing in a tree. This will be my last sit for the rest of the week. May take a doe if shot is presented, but really just here to soak it in!
