J-Plugs

I remember catching a lot of kings way back in the late 1980's and 90's using j-Plugs

Why hasn't anyone been pulling any J-Plugs this year? 

 

They worked then They should work now Remember to pull them close to the Down rigger weight

I sure plan on trying some next trip out.

  Just clean off the dipsy 6-8 ft back

I had it 75 feet off the ball just above my meat rig on the otherside that was 25 off the ball.

Typical once the month of august starts I try to have at least one j plug out. I try to have one on a copper or leadcore rod. When doing harbor patrol for staging kings before sunup I run mostly glow j plugs. You would how many steelhead you catch on them too
